Another finished Kiwi Quilt-had a quick lesson in doing scappy stars.
I have been off line the last week or so. Cyclone Yasi the biggest Cyclone Category 5 tore through the area on 3rd February. We were very lucky as the eye moved slightly south so devestation was not as bad. Where it went throug at Mission Beach/Tully 1 in 3 homes were destroyed or damaged. We had lots of trees down, lost power for over 2 days but we were safe. The devestation is huge. They even evacuated the hospitals here. It is just too much to take in for a lot of people-hopefully or I intend to make some quilts but would even love to support a quilter who has lost it all with fabric etc to get them going again.
Hope you enjoy the picture.
I have started doing Barbara Brackmans Block of the Week Civil War Quilts and really enjoying the blocks and the history behind it all-gave me another excuse to get $100 worth of Reproduction Fabrics from Keepsake Quilting as there is not a huge range over here!1
Love to all- you are all so kind and thoughtful

Glad that you and yours are fine. Sympathise with all who have lost loved ones, property and more. Your quilt is stunning! Love the stars and the little kiwis. Best wishes to all.
