Default Stars in My Garden

This quilt is 72 1/2" x 96 1/2". I did curly q-s around the applique, sort of a stipple around the stars & 1/2 sq. triangle borders, and leaves in the sashing. It's a pattern that I got from McCalls and is by Toby Preston. I quilted it using my Juke & frame. I had to rip out a pucker early on in the quilt, but after that it got better. It's a real stash buster.

Hattie Frances, I bought a used Juki TL 98 Q with a Gracie II frame off Craig's List about a year ago. It sews really nice. On a frame with the this type of Juki you will only have about a 4" strip to quilt across the face of the quilt. I would love to have a long arm, but don't have the space or the money for one of those. Although, this older frame says it will take up to a 13" machine and maybe one day I can upgrade to that. Even with the small quilting space I like putting it on the frame, because my knees can't handle my hard tile floor anymore. Debbie

I am glad to see that beauty done up! I remember your problem with it and I bet you are sure glad you stuck with it. It is a masterpiece now!
