Hi everybody! It seems like forever since I've posted pictures of what I am making other than Swish! and the second Swish!
Well, I got the binding finished this morning and now the first Swish! is completely finished! Yea!!! So, I have been thinking about what to work on next.

I decided yesterday to make a Northern Lights block and see if I like it. This is not the regular NL like I did before. This one is completely different. It is a 16" block, which I've never made any block that big before. I think I might at least make some NL blocks and see if I want to make a whole quilt out of them.

The pattern calls for two different blocks in it. One is the Northern Lights block and the other is a type of chain block. The colors in this first one are actually the colors called for. They only tell you the colors to use on one then you make them all different, except for the navy color, so it'll be up to me from now on.

This could be an interesting quilt....

Hey, that's cool. I wonder what the secondary pattern will look like!

Ooohhhh! I can see why it is called Northern Lights! That green is just spectacular! Can't wait to see what other colors you come up with.
