I started working on this quilt yesterday. My son and his friends are hosting a Liver Party in May for the Liver Foundation and were asking for donations. I volunteered to make this quilt to help raise money for the liver foundation. His daughter was diagnosed with Biliary Atresia when she was 2 months old, and received a part of her mom's liver when she was 18 months old. She was a sick little girl before she had the surgery, but is doing great-she will be 3 in May.
I love how the block forms a squared off heart. this is being made mostly of scraps, i bought the muslin to go with it.

Great blocks and great cause.

What does the layout look like when four heart shapes are butted together? Do the blocks then create a secondary pattern?

Just curious.

That is really sharp how the hearts are formed. The colors look great. And is that a precious child. She is a treasure
