I was between projects and felt like I HAD to start a new one, so I decided to try a paper pieced wall hanging for my mom. It's nothing fantastic and goodness knows it's riddled with mistakes. But you know what...I don't mind. And I don't think Mum will either.

So have a look. I still need to square it up, bat, back, quilt and bind it, but I'm pretty happy with it so far. :) Any ideas for how I should quilt it?

You're off to a good start! Where did you get the house and tree patterns?

It looks pretty good to me. We are too critical of our own work. Stand back, look at it and be proud of your work. Now if I would only listen to what I just said! Denise

The patterns are from forestquilting.com - sorry, I should have mentioned that. I love their patterns, they're some of the few I've actually gotten to print right! :)

Looks great! I think stippling would look great on the background to help "pop" the house and tree. Stitch in the ditch on the house.....just a suggestion. :D
