Stitch In The Ditch
#22
Thank you! I chose to SID around the large white squares so it forms a frame on the back of the quilt. I"m going to stitch some sort of continuous design through the colored strips.
Your quilting is so lovely!
But I have never understood why one would go to the effort to handquilt yet hide their stitches "in the ditch". If I'm doing that work, I want everyone to be able to see it! I'd be putting my stitches down the middle of the rectangles or at least 1/4 inch away from the seams.

I can appreciate your hand quilting, I really like that you put in different pics in the white sq/. Never thought of doing diff. ones before. I like it and will be doing it in my next quilt when I have a blank ... Thanks for sharing

I've started a new project that has large white squares between the colored strip so thought I'd hand quilt different motifs in each one. Also going to stitch in the ditch to set away the block from the edge. This is the first time I've stitched in the ditch and those of you who do this often sure have my respect! Will be thrilled when the callous on my thumb and finger return. LOL!!!!
