I use them for my finger tips because I have a bad habit of 'strangling' the needle. I press so hard to keep a grip on them (and occasionally snap them in half) that they make my fingers real sore real quick if I don't use them. I can't use a thimble either. I also tend to bend my needles.

Now that's a great name for a rock band "The Needle Benders" lol! I guess I should be the manager since I can't carry a tune in a bucket....lol!
