    I call this quilt "String-Fetti". It is a scrappy string quilt, using the quilt-as-you-go method, made entirely from scraps and yard sale flannel! I even used an old blanket for the batting. Last night it got down to 30 and you can bet, we slept under our new quilt!

    Very nice. I love the look of these scrappy string quilts. When I have enough scraps, I'm going to have to make one myself! Thanks for sharing.

    In the QAYG method that I use, the backing is trimmed to one inch larger than the quilted block. You attach the blocks (and later the rows) by sewing the two "wrong sides" together. On the right side, you then press the seam open, and fold/press each raw edge under. This will become the sashing when both edges are top-stitched.
