Ooh, ooh, Linda. Let us see that pattern. Perhaps those were the quilts that I was referring to with the newspapers inside.

I don't really think there was a pattern. will have to check. we did 7" muslin blocks and sewed strips diagonally and then squared to 6 1/2". When you sew 4 together it comes to a 12" 1/2" block. we did 4 blocks across and 5 down for a 48 x 60 with out borders. A nice lab quilt for the soldiers especially if they were wounded. You can use up alot of material with these. cut you stripes in differennt sizes from 2 1/2 to 1 inch. goes really fast.
