If I remember correctly, you read it right. I ignored that part. I didn't understand why she wanted to cut it back either. I figure, the bigger the better. At least for a lap quilt.

This is on my 'to do' list. Love the pattern and your color choices.

Gorgeous quilt! I love your color choices and the size you made it.
Thanks for including the link to the tutorial. I checked out some of the other ones and she has some great ones posted.

Nice to see it "grown up" and beautiful.

I've always liked that pattern but don't really sew for children. Your adult version is great and the colors are beautiful. Thanks for the inspiration.

What a beautiful quilt! It looks fairly simple to follow yet looks so great when it is completed. Now if only I could sew multiple strips together so they stay straight .....

This was my first attempt at a strip quilt. I expected problems but didn't have any. I did alternate the sewing direction with each strip as I'd read to do. I also pressed very carefully. I didn't iron, I pressed - even though I always want to iron and zip through it!

Wow! A really neat quick pattern. I love your colours. Will definitely keep this one in mind. Great job!

And I think she cut it back just to get the size for a baby quilt.
