I was working on the sewing room this afternoon and getting very frustrated (what else is new) when I came upon some small leftover blocks and some 5 in squares that just seemed to belong together. Since I did not feel I was making much progress, I sat down and started in on some scrappy 4 patches and then added the blocks in between. I kind of liked it but it needed to be bigger - so added the strips. I think I will add another 5 inch sashing all around to make it a bit bigger. This will be one of my Foster Kid gifts for this year. Will make # 5 and I think I have enough blocks to make another similar to this one as it has kind of grown on me. You don't think it's because doing this sewing is more fun than cleaning do you?

I think it is still cleaning. You used up the blocks and strips and they aren't laying around anymore.

The quilt looks lovely!!

Thnks for the compliments! Kyiav10 - I especially am liking your statement and I think I will use it when dh says "your sewing room looks worse than when you started. since you were sewing, I thought you had it all done". I can point out I used up some of the stuff that had been lying around and now that stuff is put away as well as put to good use. :P

How lovely is this quilt???? and so quickly made - what a great way to use up scraps, isn't if funny how some fabrics just seem to jump together and look right, while others you can never find the right 'mates'!! :D

Oh so that is what I have cleaning syndrome hahahaha Since I rather be doing something other than cleaning that must be what we all have.

Plus I just love the quilt and your foster child will love it too.
