Many thanks to ksea. Her quilt....shown in the link..... was my inspiration.

The floral fabric that I used was polycotton and caused no end of trouble.

Yes Diane.
It had a coating on it and was really slippery especially when I started to quilt it.

I don't pre-wash fabrics but I think it would have been a good idea with this one.

I assumed it was poly but perhaps it was some other synthetic.

Could it have been polished cotton? It has a coating on it. I always prewash all my fabrics, I don't like the sizing. If they will fade or not wash up good I want to know before I put all the work and time into them.

Beautiful quilt, great colors and job.

Perhaps it was polished cotton.
I don't really know for sure. It was in my stash for a long time and I can't remember seeing any info on the selvedge.

Good sharing, i like it very much. With that we are feeling very softy and comfortable, on that we getting feel like garden.
