    Default Summer Serenity - Moose!

I just finished 'Summer Serenity', the moose applique from Bigfork Bay Cotton Co. (designer Toni Whitney) This is raw edge applique, measures about 28x30", quilted on my longarm. The moose will be a companion to 'Autumn Eyes', the bear I made in August. http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...e-t147305.html

The 2nd picture is one I took on our property when we lived in Canada.

Gorgeous job, love the colors. Have been to Maine and New Hampshire many times, never saw a moose. Did see a few when we were in Alaska. Silly me, thought they'd be around ever corner like the deer are in central, rural, NY. Didn't find that to be so. Thanks for sharing.

Amazing creature. I saw one 'live and free' for the first time on Hallowe'en afternoon ... it just asuntered across the field behind our garden and we weren't even aware until our 6.5 year old asked 'What's that animal?'
Just incredible to see, and we are quite far south for them to be around and especially that close to a small village. We think his pals must be in the nearby National Park and he'd just come out exploring!

WOW! I love the way the moose head hangs over the frame. Really good looking, and very 3-D.

Love it! I have a couple of horse patterns from Bigfork Bay Cotton Co. to make. This is my kind of quilt! Wonderful work.
