I don't think the quilting will show up because of the veining in the fabric, there are several large butterflies and the rest in or at least near the ditch! lol I dyed the backing in a gradation from pink to purple and am very pleased with the results, however...... that gal who did the measuring :oops: cut the strips exactly the size of the quilt, no seam allowances or room for error :cry: hence the border on the back.
The bag is a pattern I wanted to try and a baby shower came up at just the right time!
The quilt is for my first granddaughter who will be 13 next month.

did you use a pattern for the diaper bag. my son and DIL are going to have a baby in Nov and my son wants a manly diaper bag, thought it would be easier to make than buy. I love all your work.

yes Denise I did use a pattern because I'm too lazy to figure things out for myself :oops: it's called Pocket Parade Tote from quiltsillistrated.com

Great colors! You really outdid yourself. i love hand dyed fabric, and log cabins are always a favorite.

i make borders for the backs lots of times. makes them more interesting. just as it does yours.
