Default Super-Sized nine-patch - 3 baby quilts from 3 yards

I printed this pattern from a post on here a while back, but just recently tried making it. LOVE IT! From 3 yards of fabric you get three similar, but different quilt tops. They are 36X42 so can be backed with a single yard. I use store-bought satin binding to finish them off. It doesn't get any easier or quicker than this, but have a nice little gift. My daughter is having a booth at a holiday fair and I'm planning to put some of these in there, too. They are not seasonal, but hope they sell anyway.

The first one is backed with cotton, the second with minky, and the last with flannel. The minky has no batting, but the rest do.

If you make this - remember that directional fabric may not come out the way you want it to. Also remember that there must be some interest in each fabric or you get one cute one and two that are just so-so. I've already pieced another set of these and think I messed that part up, but oh well! Sew, sew, sew!

The pattern can be found here:

Those are darling quilts, they do well even though they aren't seasonal.

These are really nice quilts. Love the pattern. I make a quilt for each new baby at church - this pattern will be wonderful.

Now that is cool. What a great way to do something like Linus Quilts. Thanks for the idea.
