Default Surf Quilt Finished and a Grow Chart (picture heavy)

Some of you who have long memories may recall my post about this quilt. Then just the top was pieced. You requested I show it when it was finished. It's taken a while but it's finally finished and being gifted next week. It was quite a challenge for me and one that I will think twice about doing again. It is my best effort but I am a bit disappointed with some areas of the quilting. Basically I winged it.
The Pirate Grow Chart was made for the grandson of my neighbour. He was 1yr old last April. The shiny plastic pockets are for photos to slide into to record his growth. The pictures are blueish for some reason. Sorry.

You did a nice job on both of your projects. I like the pockets you put on the growth chart.

Both quilts are great. Love the growth chart, but a wee bit worried about the rope unless it is anchored down. However, any child would love to use it and to see it!

The first quilt is wonderful - a surfers delight!
