Default Suzy's Flower Garden

Four years ago I started needle turn applique. I would sit at night with my mother in law who was confined to her bed and I would draw flowers, cut out the fabric and then applique to muslin blocks. I thought of my friend who use to own a flower nursery and started to make these blocks. I finally put the quilt together in January and quilted it. I tried echoing it around the appliques. I delivered it to my friend in Texas. She is shown to the left of the quilt explaining it at show and tell at her quilt guild. She really loved it. Here are a few pictures. Thanks for looking

I really liked this quilt and I know your friend was proud to have it. She knows how much work that it took to complete it. Wonderful!

Gorgeous applique! I am sitting here trying to applique some tulips and it goes slow for me on the curves. I have done a lot of hand sewing over many years, but appliqueing can frustrate me still. I know it takes patience and practice and I'm only determined to accomplish it and do smooth work. Your quilt is so pretty!!
