    when I am making a tricky block or testing an odd color combo, I often make just one block to try it out. If it isn't right for the quilt, I save the block and use them on tote bags. Even an odd color combo can be pulled together with banding, straps or pockets. I use them as 'gift wrapping' and people love it. Saves me on wrapping paper and a good way to test things out (don't feel that I am wasting anything).

    I have a beautiful Dresden I made but didn't know what to do with it. I think I'll add it to a tote. Thanks for the inspiration.
