The trick for me to make the stretchy behave was flannel backing. It didn't move and it kind of "stuck" to the front part and framed it up. I used the whole t-shirt in making this...so the different colors are from the t-shirts themselves. I've got to make one more, so hopefully it comes out as good as this one...

Thanks guys!

I would like to try one with my kids' cloths when they are little.
May I ask you ome question how to make this?
Did you sandwitch the batting between flannels and the top?
Do I need to use the fusing backing for the bakcside of the quilt top? How do the seamallowance ( T-shirt edge) go, I am afraid if thy rolls up. Or spray basted???

Pleae advise!! Help me!!

If you do a search how to make a t-shirt quilt, you will get a lot of helpful info. You need to use fusible woven interfacing on the back of the shirts to keep them from stretching. The other one that I made I did not use batting in at all. Maybe there might be a possibility that someone will do a class near where you live. Also, might be a tutorial some place.
