Default Teachers Quilt

I was asked to make a teachers quilt - She is having her first child and decided to leave and stay home with the baby....so the moms/students wanted to give her a going away gift....This is what i designed for it....the kids made all the squares and in the center, i embroidered a little note to her from the kids...

Thanks for looking!!!!!

Adorable ... From her class of kids to her classy kid!
Great design on your part, using attic windows.

Did you have the kids do artwork, and then print it to fabric, as you would photos?

I gave each kid a 8x8 square of Muslin with a border so they knew where they could draw too....They used Fabric Markers which was then heat set.

Thanks! ... I can just imagine the kids beaming with pride at the opening.

BTW ... was it you that posted earlier for ideas, when the Mom's had "elected" you, knew nothing about quilting, but were telling you everything to do (and wasn't really what you wanted?)

I sure hope they have praised you endlessly for this as it truly is a work of "art" ... the kids and yours!!
