Default Garden windows project

This is the first time I have attempted this type of quilt. Right now, it measures 31" x 36", too small for a lap quilt. I'm thinking it may be better as a wall hanging. I also want to quilt it, but now sure if I should use SID or free motion. I appreciate any suggestions!

This is supposed to have a 3-dimensional look to it, so the colors of the bottom and left side should contrast to form a window. The corner block is where I had trouble, some of the blocks were not 1005 accurate. I always have to check each block so the sashes will align correctly. I have lots of scraps, so no problems in finding enough flowers for the main block. The black portion is actually purchased binding, about 3/4 inch wide. I ironed it flat and then sewed to blocks. Not the easiest portion of the project. Anyway, I learn something each time I try another quilt!

Would SID make it more 3D? Great job on the corners..

Very very nice. I agree - i think SID would accent the pattern - and maybe free motion would take away from it.
