OK, I've finally started my first OBW. It's going to be a 50th BD present for my sistwerp. Ten down, 62 more to go!

Gee, I hope I finish before she turns 60!

The fabric is Michael Miller.

Thanks to k3n for holding my hand through the pinning and cutting! Bisous, Bisous!

Notice how that bottom left block looks like sliced strawberries!? At least in the photo, but not in real.

Gai, this is absolutely lovely but will your sistwerp appreciate what you call her? LOL. She will definitely appreciate the quilt though.

Ninnie, these are cut with strips 3.75 inches, following the instructions in the OBW book, but I think for the next one I'll cut the strips 6 inches.

Of course she will! She's the one who left me the BD message about thighs and plastic lawn chairs!

And I hope she'll like it. If not, I know her daughter will, and their BD's are just two days apart!

And the BD part will be held in the Texas Hill Country, so the fabric was chosen specifically for her.

I gage how big my strips will be cut by the size of the repeat and the size of the print, the great thing is that they all turn out the same size block, no need to figure anything out to get them all the same,
