I received a great package in the mail today. I had sent a board friend something and requested only an orphan block or two as payment. Her "payment" goes above and beyond what I ever dreamed it would be! I am sooooooo happy and feel like I cheated her. What a wonderful person!

5 Christmas blocks + 1 g/y/o block, a crocheted bookmark and TEN fat 1/4's!!! I am so lucky!

That's great! Now when you put those blocks/material in a quilt you'll remember that friend forever. :-)

That's my plan. The Christmas blocks will become a table runner. The orange/green/yellow will have to wait for more blocks to join it. When I get enough I will make a scrappy sampler from all my swaps and always remember what good people there are "out there". This block is my first and maybe that will be how I decide what order to put them on the quilt!
