So I saw Barnbum's panel finds from ebay and then Katherine's Michael Miller windows and thought I'd really like to try that! I bought 3 different panels on ebay and decided to do something with this one first:

It was a 9.5 x9.5 Amish clothesline.

I haven't perfectly pressed it yet but as you can see I'm not exactly a perfectionist! (I do believe that adds to the art of homemade)

I believe it will be a wall hanging.

Thanks for the inspiration for this little project - I am trying to distract myself - I was due on April 10 but still NO BABY!!!!

This is the original panel

What I've done with it so far

Opinions please....
Does adding this brown & black add or distract???

That looks pretty darned good to me. It's really cute. Now, go take a long walk, do some cleaning and laundry and that should do the trick.
Boy or girl? We'll want to know details as soon he baby arrives.

Looks good to me too!
Oh, I know how it is when those kids decide they are nice and warm where they are! My oldest was 6 days late, my youngest 13 days late. UGH!
Like Jacquemoe says...go for walks. I think that's what finally helped me or it might have been the threatening of having to share the bed with daddy if she didn't hurry up. :)
Yes, let us know when the cute bundle arrives!
Hang in there!

I think its perfect the way your edge reflects the colors of the clothes on the line....you have a good eye for color.

Baby must be a boy........just like a man make you wait

THanks Everyone! I messed up posting the pics - The first one should be the last. I only added the purple and black borders so far. I was going to do more window panes but the panel is small and it looked like too much.
I haven't added the brown and black borders - yet, should I?

I picked up the purple and brown today at Joann's - as always I am looking out for you Ruth (but then I get that image of that pic you posted and forget what you really look like)! And yes you are right it is a boy- he must take after my husband "I'll be there in 5 minutes....". My daughter was early so I just ASSumed....

I did go for a brief but brisk walk, very disheartening watching snow flurries when it was so beautiful out yesterday.

This was the seller - cantstopshopping they have a couple of different Amish scenes. Same ones as last week when I bought it (very fast shipper) so if the price goes beyond try again.
There is something about hanging laundry that appeals to me.

Cute! :) i feel for you, my last one was an April baby, due date was April 11th, she was just too comfy, but eventually walked out on April 15th weighing in at 8 pounds 11.5 ounces and 24 inches long.

Hope baby comes soon, being overdue makes it seem like you've been pregnant forever. :)

Very cute, yes, I would add the brown & black borders is you need the size to be bigger. It looks great either way!

Hope that baby decides to come out soon and that you both are healthy! Be sure to let us know when you get the first chance!

Hey! I didn't see that panel on there! Actually, I haven't been looking sicne I bought thsoe 3--I won them all and it scared me.

just how do you do that? Is the black ironed on or do you cut the panel apart? It looks so cool!! Makes a panel more special for sure--and you did it to the perfect picture!!

My son (6 lb 14 oz) was early--my daughter (10 lbs 11.5 oz) was late.
