Sandpat, I think it's because I have been waiting for this new kitchen for so long. Cabinetmaker called to say he will be ready to install on Monday. I hope WE'RE ready. Our kids are coming in to help tomorrow and Sunday.

Who are you kidding, that you don't know how to sew. You work is great and very creative.

I know exactly how you felt. I'm in the process of making about 18 potholders -- and I don't know how to sew either! Mine are for my guild which is participating in a huge craft show in October. I'm using a different binding technique, but it's turning out to be just a bit more difficult than the instructions indicate. Good for you for coming to your grandmother's aid and for being brave enough to tackle something you've never done before.
