We figured it would cost more to buy one and have it shipped than to make it ourselves. He is very good at woodworking. Out of curiosity, how much would you pay for something like this? Or one like, it built to your specific thread needs?

What a great Birthday gift! I'll bet he got lot's of hugs for that one! He is quite talented, and could probably sell his woodwork easily. It looks like he has already stirred up a lot of envy on the quilting board :)
