Star, what part of MI are you? I find lots of great quilting items up here in the Traverse City area. Bought my daughter a vintage, aqua blue sewing machine last week for 15 dollars. It looks almost new! We tried it out and WOW what a wonderful sewing machine.... My other daughter wants me to keep an eye out for her. Thrift stores are my favorite place to shop...

Star

What a lucky girl you are, I bet we won't see you now as your have your nose in the magazines

I love American Patchwork & Quilting magazine - my only chance to get it if I'm lucky is at our big show here in the Summer, I bought 4 copies last year for some other ladies I know who also love it. So all in all you got yourself a real bargain there & a table to boot too. HAPPY SEWING :P

Yes I am so excited that I found so much and my DH was happy for me to he is already making plans for a table he wants to make me!!

northernDeb- I am in west michigan, Holland. Did you go to the cherry festival? we have tulip time in may and there is a quilt show during that time, I haven't gone because its always so crowded.

quiktsRfun-yes I didn't even look at the dates on the mags til I got home I just grabbed them up for 25cents I didn't care what they had in them. So after I took the pic I realized that they were from the end of last year and the most current was JUNE 2009!! then I was really excited.
Thanx everyone I hope you all visit a thrift shop or two!!
