Default tile quilt blocks- to border or not? opinions please

Here's a some blocks I made the last few days from the book Tile Quilt Revival in oriental fabrics. It is a lousy pic, the colors are not true at all but you get the idea. I am thinking just a narrow border the same as the off white background so the binding does not interfer with the block designs, and then just quilt and binding. Do you think I am going in the right direction or do you think a different colored border, any other ideas? Thanks for looking. Oh, forgot, it's to be a wallhanging.

This looks exactly like tile to me....with ecru grout. It's pretty and doesn't take away from the colors and piecing of the individual blocks.

One of our guild members recently showed this quilt in a meeting program and she demo'd it in black and ivory, both very striking.

Love your quilt - now I have another pattern to add to my bucket list. I am never going to live long enough to empty the bucket. I would add a small border background fabric and bind with the same color. What ever you decide to do it will be a winner.

I think you're on the right track. It is so beautiful. It looks like an awful lot of work. But so gorgeous.

That's a beautiful quilt. Love the fabrics and what you've done with them.

Lovely wall hanging. I would say it looks great just as it is. If you preview some fabric and like it for a border, it would look great that way also. I know, I am no help, however, you did wonderful work on it and anyway you finish it would be wonderful also.
