I am going to try to post some of my quilts. These are NOT my colors but a young lady who works with me and is ever so AWESOME lost her daddy. The centers of the stars are his shirts and from there I created a pattern that would be a little brighter. It was her Mom's Christmas present this year. It is simple but she seems to be happy with it.

There is a rule called KISS which stands for "keep it simple stupid." Simple patterns tend to be the most beautiful. This is not only beautiful but so thoughtful. What a lovely thing for you to do this.

I agree with debcavan, there is beauty in simplicity. You did an outstanding job on this lovely tribute quilt, I'm sure the family is greatly comforted.

I think I will try this one. Have been wanting to make one, but only have very few of FIL shirts. Beautiful quilt.
