#2 will be basically the same but I may have to go with some other colors to go around the blocks if I don't have enough of the red and blue. These are the memorial quilts I'm making and was wondering about using some the young man's t-shirts as backing. After asking though I think it may be too hard. I still need to add borders and I'm open to suggestions. I have a small amount of stash and this is what I have that might work. I think I can afford to go buy a couple yards to do borders if need be. What I need now is opinions! The backing if not made from tshirts will probably be some flannel scraps I have that I will piece together. Or if one of these works I could buy a few yards to do the backing.

Hi Ginnie! What a fun quilt!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
The only one I don't think will work is the one to the far right- b/c there isn't enough green in the quilt. I really love the blue and even the next one (browns) could be very cool! Ditto for the checks!
Gee, I'm no help! :D:D
Love the effect by placement of the blocks and love your use of plaids. Great job!!!!!!!
Oh- I know nothing about tshirts except the fabric is so different.
Why not do the backing with the green if you are pressed for $$$

I love the quilt!!! Very pretty!!! :D:D:D
Maybe the blue for the border and then the red and blue for the outer border and binding?

Love the quilt. What about the red and blue plaid as a first border and then the dark blue (far left) as an outer border? Just a suggestion.

ok just measured and I have just enough of the blue and red and blue to do borders on both. I think I'll use the green for one back and I have a floral for the other. One girls likes blue and green and one likes pink, purple and green.
