Made up this "nap" quilt top for my lovely Daughter-in-law, Samantha.

Gotta finish quilting the Airplane quilt before I get to this one, though.

Good news is, mitered borders don't scare me anymore!

What a great quilt!! I love your fabrics. Did you design this yourself or get the idea from somewhere? I think Samantha is going to love it!!

I "sort of" designed it myself. Picked the fabrics from my LQS, then realized that the online sellers had a much better selection of colors, so I ordered more. I have long been admiring some of the color treatments that the quilters on this board do, and wanted to try something like it myself.

All these fabrics are the "Fuchsia" or "Fuchsia II" line from Maywood Studios. I found several different colors on ebay.

Then I made up a bunch of HSTs and 4squares and played around with them on the design board, while I still had it up to play around on. This is just what I thought looked best. The ones I have left over I'm going to put together into little quilts for Sam's 2 little girls, aged 2 and 4.

This is so stiking! The dark green- I think it's dark green- it is on my screen- stands out so well! And then the rest just draw your eye out to the pretty border. This is great. You did a good job with your design and colors.

I also like the smaller blankets for the daghters. What a good idea.
