Default Tractors and More

This was a workof love for my son. He had made a special request for a quilt (You know they pay attention to what you are doing. He is 30 yrs old now.) He requested a quilt to go with the John Deere Quilt I made him at 14. His words, "Not to replace but to go with, yellows and greens. I want one with all those different blocks and stars." I was amazed that he knew what he wanted and how to describ it.

So after about a 6 months of collected just the right fabrics and ideas, I started. I have two very special blocks that are photos of my dad, his granddad. One photo (black and white) is my dad at age 15 on his dad's John Deere tractor and then the other is Dad on same trackor at age 70. My brother had the tractor restored before 6 months before he died of cancer.

Some of the blocks are named for states that represent the family locations and others have meaning to dad and my son.

Thanks for looking.... Phannie

I also had it quilted with a tractor tread pattern. Really looks like it has been ran over by a tractor.
