Hubby and I just returned from the family farm in TN. My MIL is 91 and really doesn't sew anymore. We were talking at the table and all of the sudden she asked if I wanted the Domestic machine. I about fell off my chair. I told ofcourse I would love to have it. The machine is in excellent condition but I need to get a belt for it. It belonged to my DH grandmother and was purchased around 1904 -1905 when she got married. My MIL remembers her sewing on it when she and FIL would visit. So here's a picture of my new treasure. I can't wait to sew on it. Also with the machine is every attachment that was made for it.

Domestic Treadle that belonged to my hubby's grandmother. Purchased in 1904 - 1905

So glad this machine will live at your house. I'm sure your MIL knew before she asked that you would make a good home for it.
