    Default Tree Treasures

I won the block of the month drawing for December at our guild Christmas party and put it together yesterday. Found a piece of batting that is just the right size and am pondering what to use for backing. I don't want to buy more fabric and don't have a piece big enough in my stash that would work. Could just use muslin. I do have a piece of the button fabric that is not quite big enough, so I could piece it with a red and white small print, or something else. I'd like to have it done for show & tell at Jan. 8 meeting. Have no idea what I'm going to do with it. The blocks were embellished by maker, so they have buttons, beads, or bows. For now, I'll just finish it, then stash it away for next year.

How about a pieced backing of Christmas- themed fabrics?

Very cute top! I would piece the back with a horizontal and vertical stripe to look like a large present.

I think a pieced backing would work well. Just get some Christmas fabric that is possibly the same value. I always use up large pieces of fabric for the backing on my quilts.

Looks like it would fit on a front door for a holiday decoration. Very cute.
