It's beautiful. I can appreciate your frustration - my DH picked out the pattern he wanted for his quilt. Well, he picked the Kalidescope block, with so many bias edges it was a bear to piece. I tried making a pieced border, however, each side was a different measurement. I finally spent 2 days ripping out the border, replacing it with a black order and set it aside for a couple years until I could deal with it again. It turned out to be a beautiful quilt, but never again, life's too short for that much aggravation.
