I just made this table runner top today out of a charm pack called Trick or Treat Smell My Feet. I had to reverse the dark and light fabrics because there were way more darks in the pack. It is very scrappy, but I did try to give it a little bit of a sense of balance with color placement. The pattern is called Chicken Feet by This and That. The finished size is 15 3/4 X 26 1/4". (I know I need to square up my corner triangles :-) )

My question to you all is---how should I quilt this?? And what color thread would you use to quilt it?? I want to get in finished quickly so I can get it on the table and go on to the next project.

Scrappy and fun is what that is.. Other than boring in the ditch...I don't know about the quilting design..can't help you there.

I'm kinda liking the trend towards the big stitch in dark thicker thread lately that I've seen in some shops locally. It's a larger than usual hand stitch, like a utility stitch. Very charming and rustic.

Very cute! If you're in a hurry, I think I'd just machine stitch in the ditch. The fabrics are your real star on this project, not the quilting. And you may want to wash it frequently, so machine quilting, I would think, would be your best bet.
