Cool A trio of astronomy quilts

My husband is an amateur astronomer. When I asked him if you would like a quilt, he requested one that reflected his hobby. He chose the blocks (Quilter's Cache) and I chose the fabrics (My Universe line). When DH's quilt was complete, our second son said it reminds him of the VanGogh painting Starry night, and he wanted one for himself. At that point, I thought I had better also make a third astronomy quilt, because our oldest son is a professional astronomer. So here are the three astronomy quilts.

Awesome fabric - thank you for mentioning the name of the line. My son has always been interested in astronomy but just doesn't have time anymore. I recently asked him if I could make him a quilt with planets, etc. He said yes, he would like that, but didn't want it to look like "child-like" fabric, where the planets are just drawn or painted. This fabric gives it a whole new look. You did a great job!

Great quilts and fabrics! Wonderful job on the quilting also. Your husband picked some great patterns and Moon over the Mountain is perfect for an astronomy quilt.
