Default Trip Around the World part 1

Here is the main part of the Trip Around the World that I had asked for help with a few weeks ago. My friend came and we spent several hours at Mary Jo's choosing just the right fabric to represent each country. The quilt is for her daughter's 18th birthday. She has traveled to 8 different countries.

The pieced borders will be next. I will also have the names of the countries embroidered in the border!

Fabric 1 - Fireworks - USA
Fabric 2 - Orange - Belize, for the bright colored houses and birds
Fabric 3 - Mosaic - Italy, for the stained glass windows and mosaic tiles in the buildings
Fabric 4 - Blue - Canada, for Niagra Falls
Fabric 5 - Red Polka dots - Spain, for the costumes in a play she saw (I think, sorta forgot)
Fabric 6 - Eiffel Tower - France, need I say more!
Fabric 7 - Green - Ireland, lush pastures
Fabric 8 - Stones - Wales, castles
Fabric 9 - British Flags - Britain, of course

Quite scrappy, but very meaningful to her!
