It's been years since I've made a quilt with so few fabrics, and I love the simplicity of the look. I love not having to think about what color to add next. I LOVE these fabrics. The center--called Whispers, was one I saw in my favorite Mennonite shop and for two trips didn't get it because I didn't know what I'd do with it. I finally bought it, along with two coordinating Moda marbles, and searched for a pattern where it wouldn't be cut up too much. There are very few color choices to match, so I decided between a double or triple; Kennedy said a double would be too boring  so a third color was needed. We found a perfect light to use at the same shop.
This is 20 out of a needed 60 some squares... but now I'm headed back to Kayaking on the Lake... :D

Very pretty. Nice calming colors. I can't wait to see it finished. It will be beautiful as usual. I'm just trying to gear myself up to do a Double Irish Chain. I at least read the directions today, at least that is the first step....
