This is a photo of my BFF and the baby quilt top we made over the weekend. Her son and DIL picked the colors (its for their coming baby). We tried to change their minds about the brown but they said this is what they want.
We used the "Not your Grandmother's Tumbling Block" pattern by Marci Baker and it went together very fast.

Love this pattern but never have tried it. Looking at it I can not seem to see how this is done. Noticed you might have the same sewing machine like I have, iron sewing machine with top that lifts up and has plastic cams that go in for designs. Marge in FL
