Default Turning 4am mornings into a quilted basket

A couple of weeks ago, I picked up a tote pattern called Freeport Gatherer. Reminded me of my old New England home. Each morning at 4am before getting ready for work, i worked on it...today, it was time to make the tote....wow, for the most part I ended up wearing it as I had not realized how huge it was turning out. now I have changed my mind and instead of a tote it will be a stair basket to bring things upstairs. Lol

I can't see any zig zag machine stitching to hold the cording together. Do you sew this by hand?

I love the art object you turned it into for such a functional basket. Great planning.

Thank-you, yes it was put together with zig zag stitching. The pattern called for 40 jelly roll strips lined with duo fuse and folded several times. No cording used. Never tried that..maybe next time when I make a smaller one.

Very pretty basket. I have no stairs, all one level.
