Default Turtle Pond

I made this for my 1 yr old grandson. I had no specific pattern in mind when I started. Just an "inspired as I went" kind of quilt. I wanted my quilting to give it plenty of movement as if the turtles were swimming. As you can see, the back is all the leftover fabric I refused to waste. (lol) Each of the four corners has parts of the poem I wrote and embroidered for the quilt.
1 Little turtle, 2 little turtle swimming in the pond
3 little turtle, 4 little turtle going round and round
5 little turtle, 6 little turtle swim the other way
7 little turtle, 8 little turtle love to swim and play

His reaction to it was absolutely priceless!!

Thank you for looking
Peggy

Your quilt is absolutely delightful. It is so creative, playful and colorful. No wonder your grandson loved it.
