T sent me a box of quilts.....the first two she needs for a baby shower...and they are so adorable!
They are both backed with minkee....I try not to overdue quilting when they have minkee because you don't want to change the feel of that fabric...plus it is a baby quilt...I like to have heavy enough quilting to handle the washings..but loose enough to keep it soft.
The 3-D pinwheels I stippled.....and then just traced a pinwheel to put one in each side setting triangle....I wanted to give it some interest without taking away from the design....wavy cross hatching in the rectangles.
In the ducky quilt I just took each border and put a different design in it to break it up and give interest.....
I quilted this on my INNOVA. No computer or pantograph quilting...all freehand.
i also used HOBBS polydown batting.
Thanks for looking.
