What is it about the love you receive from a cat that just gets to you?

Different than a dog. I have a dog also, and when I come home and her whole body is wiggling when she sees me...my heart melts. But you suspect that she would be the same with anyone who gave her a milkbone...lol

But a cat....you know that they are independent and aloof....you have to earn their love. So when one loves you...you really feel special. My husband and I have often said that a cats purr is like a mantra.

So very cute. We are petless right now so have no furry friends to "help" us.

Those cats have to check it all out. Thought I was safe with quilting, only a dog. Ha, layed out a couple of rows on the bed, turned around and there she sat, right in the middle of a row. Maybe she was saying, is this mine?

About the only time my kitty gets on my lap, is when I am doing some work by hand on a quilt, or crocheting. And as soon as I stop working on the project, because I can't manage to hold her and do hand work at the same time, she will jump down...
