Default Two Dolphin Quilts/Jelly Roll Race Quilt

I was talking to my 10-year old DGGD and I asked her if she would like a "Dolphin" quilt and she said, "Yes!" My 11-year old DGD was there and she said that she would like one too. So I made two of them. They are as much alike as I could do. I placed some of the smaller appliqués in different spots so that they could tell them apart.

I will sew all of the appliqués down before I sandwich them but first I have to finish a baby quilt by the end of May so they will have to wait. Here is how they look so far. Unfortunately, they posted sideways even though they are vertical photos. Sigh!

These are so cute, I can understand why both girls wanted one. I've seen similar patterns, but the mermaid is the perfect touch.

How adorable! Love all the batiks & the stylized sea creatures are very well done! I especially love the sea horses.
