Two table runners finished
This first one is my version of one I saw somewhere, probably here. I cut and paste pics of things that catch my eye and save them in a word document. Mine is different than the one I saw, but similar.

Because I didn't have a pattern, I ended up creating too many squares (or else I would have a super long table runner!!) So I made a 2nd with the leftover pieces. Here it is.

I used an old flannel sheet as the batting so I could quilt as lightly as I pleased. I tried somethig different here and only quilted the brown parts. Here's a close up of what I did on the brown squares. For the border, I just did a squiggly line.
