Default UFO completed in time for the 4th of July

I started this quite a few years ago-maybe 7- and always thought I would make more blocks to make it throw or bed quilt size. Realizing that it wasn't going to happen, I decided to add some borders and get it finished in time for the fouth.

The original pattern is "Anniversary Stars" from Evelyn Sloppy's book 40 Fabulous Quilts, c. 2005.

Finished with the binding today and had the help of my DH to get it hung in it's place of honor.

Happy 4th of July everyone!

Yippee another completed project. Looks great. Love the scrappy blues and reds to add dimension to your quilt. Peggy

Very nice, that pattern would also make a good wounded soldier quilt. You did a good job.
