I can't decide on a Spring Fling border
I am almost done piecing my Spring Fling quilt. The pattern was in the Feb 2012 Quilter's World magazine
I have to admit that I changed the cornerstone blocks that were included. I didn't like the little eggs and I found a 3" chick online that I liked better so that's what I ended up making for the cornerstones...
Anyhooo...
I'm having a hard time picking my border fabric... option 1 with the bright purple, yellow and blue flowers or option 2 with the ladybugs?
What do you guys think?

I agree totally, maybe bring it to quilt store and lay it on multiple fabrics to see what you like best, difinately stay away from busy fabrics. Solids or a tone on tone I think would look best, again that is my opinion.

it looks like everyone is against both of your options... do you have a 3rd somewhere you could pull out?? I would not want to distract from all the work you have done by a border that does not do it justice

I actually like both of my choices.
I do not think it detracts from my blocks note do I think they are too busy. I think they are happy and cheerful.
I do not wish to use a boring fabric. I want to use something
.
I will decide on my own.
