I used hairdryer to get it dry. It faded only a tiny bit. So I tackeld it Friday afternoon. It took me about 3 hours, had to stop a few times and go back to it so that is an approximation. I painted it and then used my hairdryer doing one block at a time, close but not touching quilt and dryed it But to let it really set The bottle says to let it dry for 7 days. Which I am going to do. So maybe when it is washed the paint has had time to set really well and maybe no fading at all. The hair dryer did no harm to the quilt,I used Poly cause it is so puffy and soft. It Actually brought out the color and brightened it. You can feel the medium it is kinda like the ones you buy. Soft, plyable but you can feel it like plastic, but is not unpleasant to the touch. Only the crayon colored part of the block is painted with medium. It goes on kinda milky looking and drys completely clear you can not see it but you can feel it. I am happy with the results but only time will tell about how long it lasts. Maybe only washing in cold water and drying on line or tumble on cool air in dryer will make it last longer. But for now it looks great. I am posting a Before and After. The Medium was almost $5.00 a bottle I bought 3 and used one. I am posting a picture of it also. I hope I am not breaking any rules. sorry I forgot to resize the picture of the medium.
I am haveing a heck of a time with this posting because I didn't resize. will try again. BillsBonBon

Wow, the Textile Medium really made a big difference in the colors! Let us know if it fades after washing....

Gorgeous quilt! The colors really popped after you put the medium on it.
