Here is what I did. Cut 4" squares and 2 inch strips and did sort of a log cabinish type with two fabrics strips on each. Give it a try, it is great for using up scraps. I just squared the blocks to 6 1/2" then sewed them on point. The side triangles are 7" blocks cut in half diagonally.
